Yes, working 60+ hours per week has really gotten into the way of my blogging. However, with the way the Bruins have been playing all season, maybe that's a good thing. With about 15 minutes to spare between jobs, here are some quick thoughts about this years Boston Bruins.

If we could go back in time five months and read a blog about a Boston team needing to have a solid finish to their season in order to make the playoffs, which team would you I was talking about? If it were this past October, the logical choice would have been the Patriots. If you think back to October, that was when the ship was sinking. The reign of Belichick and Brady was over. Little did we know then that the Patriots would be the top seed in the AFC and end up with another Lombardi to add to the collection. While I probably wouldn't have argued with you if you had said that about the Patriots. I might have been one of the few people who thought the Celtics might be in the mix for a playoff spot. Of course I'm a bit of an optimist and still had faith in the Patriots, so assuming that the Patriots were a shoe-in for the playoffs, the only other team that could logically be fighting for a wildcard would have to be the Celtics. Well, here we are March 2015 and both the Celtics and Bruins are on the brink of getting into the playoffs. A good run by either team down the stretch and they are in. A bad run and it'll be wait until next year. Here's to hoping that both teams can win enough over the next couple of weeks to get in and then anything can happen. While the Patriots have made a lot of moves in the offseason, most people aren't too thrilled with the changes. As someone who wholeheartedly believes in Bill, I am neither thrilled nor terribly disappointed in the moves thus far. Here are my quick thoughts on a few of the higher profile players and positions:
I believe this is the second year that the NFL has allowed "legal tampering". For those who don't know what it is, it is pretty much a 3 day window when teams can let players who are about to become few agents know that they are interested. What a difference a week makes. Vince Wilfork announcing that the Patriots do not intend of picking up his option. The franchise tag being place on Stephen Gostkowski. Legal tampering underway. Rumors of the Jets planning on going hard after Darrelle Revis. Devin McCourty supposedly being sought after by both the Giants and Eagles.
