When coaching basketball, many coaches tell their players to just win every quarter and the game will take care of itself. Sometimes they will break it down into even smaller segments of time such as 4 minutes or 2 minutes. With the Celtics quarter of the way through their season and the easiness of checking the number of points scored for that time frame, that's what I did.
It feels like there’s been a full off-season between when the Patriots last played and today. The major media outlets have gone from writing the team off to realizing that a now healthy Patriots team will be tough to beat. I guess they spent some time reading Patspulpit.com recommendations.
In their last game against the Titans, the Patriots offense struggled. The team could neither get a run game going nor could Tom Brady get comfortable with any of his receivers. In case you haven't heard yet, Father Time caught up with Brady and the Patriots are done. No, really this time.
No, this is not an excuse for why the Patriots got their butts kicked in Nashville yesterday. It is, however, a reminder that home field is more than having the fans rooting for you.
