Two weeks in a row the Patriots were positioned to win and put their playoff chances in their own hands. Both times they made costly turnovers which ultimately resulted in the team going 0-2 to close out December. Now sitting at 7-8, the Patriots somehow still have destiny in their own hands. Will they finally have a game where they get a break to fall their way? Well, it is a new month and a new year, so maybe it's time for their luck to change.

If you thought the Patriots offense was terrible in the red zone, you were right. Currently we are the worst in the NFL with a touchdown occuring only 38.5% of the time. When it comes to playing at home, our scoring percentage is even lower (35.29%).

Looking back at that preseason game, I see a lot of similarities to the overall play we've been seeing all year. That being said, I still think the Patriots can be victorious if the offense just plays slightly better and the defense and special teams doesn't make any game changing mistakes.
With the Patriots out west playing against the Arizona Cardinals, I've compiled a few things to ponder before kickoff.
