After falling behind 2-0, the Celtics are now in the driver's seat of round 1. Yes, they are the #1 seed, but we all know that until the refs anoint a player on the team as a star and blindly give him every call, winning in the playoffs will be tough.
Barring any changes, the Patriots will make a draft pick during round 3 Friday night. While it is highly unlikely, this is what I hope happens instead.
The 2017 NFL Draft will commence on Thursday, April 27th. Barring a trade, the Patriots will not make a selection until Friday night during round 3 with the 72nd overall pick. The way they've been making moves which have cost them this season's picks, I really wouldn't be shocked if they weren't on the clock until sometime Saturday in round 4.
Well, it's certainly been a busy and interesting week in the world of professional Boston sports. Not wanting to repeat what's been said and having to work and sleep, here's my two cents on all of those crazy topics from last week.
People love to talk about how the AFC East is weak. In December I did some research about that topic and wrote apost which refutes that fallacy. The other day someone on twitter argued that the "Bills, Jets, and Dolphins have a combined 10 playoff appearances since 2000" so, I'm wrong and the AFC East sucks......Well, originally, I was going to respond to his tweet with a tweet of my own. Quickly I realized that my response could not have a character limit and would be much better as a blog post.
