Next season we will not be seeing athletic NFL players jump over the line of scrimmage and opposing defenses in order to block extra points. That was one of the rules that the coaches agreed to change next season. Another rule that you have most likely heard a lot about is how instant replays will now be handled by Dean Blandino and his group remotely. They will be making the decision and relaying it to the umpires on the field. While these are widely known rule changes, they will not have as great of an effect on games as a timing change will.

Sometimes you just happen to check twitter at the right time. Wednesday morning might have been one of those times. Sitting around drinking my coffee and checking my online accounts, I saw that my alma mater, Missouri State University, was holding their pro day. Based on the title of this post, you know that the player I'm going to inform you about didn't get a combine invite, yet had a monster day.
Not knowing whether or not the Patriots will haveMalcolm Butler on the roster next season or beyond, I decided to look at which players are available. Here are the three veterans I think the Patriots should go after.
No, the Patriots are not screwing Malcolm Butler by giving Stephon Gilmore a contract. Last week everyone thought Malcolm Butler and his agent had been asking the Patriots "for the moon". After his agent Derek Simpson came out and said that wasn't true and the Patriots and Butler haven't talked at all this season, people are now losing their minds because the Patriots signed Gilmore to 5 year contract which may be worth up to $65 million. Here is why everyone needs to relax. (I'll apologize now for the heavy use of bullets. Technical difficulties deleted my original post)
They say the youngest in the family is immature. Well, when you are the youngest of 11 children, you might take a little longer to "grow up". With two more years of experience under his belt, Ealy will hopefully be ready for the scrutiny that comes with being a Patriot.
