If it weren't for bad luck, Felix Doubront wouldn't have any. So far this season, things have not gone well for Doubront. He currently has a 6.0 ERA and record of 1-3. Additionally, he has failed to get out of the third inning in two of his five starts. While those numbers do not look good, they don't tell the complete story.

Every once and while you have one of those days when your favorite sports teams will keep you crazy busy. With the ridiculously cold rainy weather postponing Wednesday night's baseball game, Thursday will be quite eventful for Boston sports' fans. Barring any changes in the weather, the Red Sox will play game one of their recently created double header at 1:05 and their second at 7:05.
Last week John Lackey pitched probably the best game a Red Sox pitcher has pitched so far this season. You might not recall it because the big news that night was Michael Pineda and his not so subtle pine tar. Well, tonight he did it again.
Yesterday Kevin Buchanan and the Boston Cannons opened up their 2014 Major League Lacrosse season by beating the Chesapeake Bayhawks by a score of 15-9. Buchanan was the top scorer of the game with 7 goals. In addition to starting off his season with a career high in points, Kevin also earned the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week .
With the Red Sox about a month into the regular season and not having a game today, I decided to grade the team. These grades are based solely on my quick opinion of each player without looking back at any specific games or statistics. The grading will be very simple: + player is playing better than I expected, - player is playing worse than I expected, 0 player is playing how I expected. Position players' grades will be based on fielding, hitting and base running. Grades are only being given to players currently on the active roster.
