 Getting swept by a conference foe doesn't happen in New England, well at least not by its professional football team. With an at home loss to Rex Ryan's Bills earlier this season, a loss today would give Buffalo a sweep. While I doubt that would happen, here are my keys to making sure the Patriots head into their bye week on a positive note.

 Having had two future Hall of Fame place kickers on your favorite NFL team's roster for the past 20 years, it's easy to think the sky is falling when suddenly a touchdown is only worth 6 points. We Patriot fans are used to counting by 7s and 3s with an occasional 2 or 8 mixed in for fun. Counting by sixes? Unheard of!
With victories against both Ohio teams behind them, the Patriots visit their next potential victim in Pittsburgh. Those who aren't paying attention may think that it will be a battle of equally powered offenses.
Although Cincinnati is coming into Gillette Stadium with a 2-3 record, the Patriots' defense better bring their A game.
Before kickoff, I better share Gronks most amazing statistic because I can guarantee it won't be the case after the Patriots first possession.
Gronk currently has the same number of receptions as Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Jimmy G has 6 yards after catch while Gronk only has one. |
