At their Annual League Meeting the NFL decided on some unpopular rule changes. One change that many people are heated over is the "leading with the helmet rule".
As of now free agent Mathew Slater is not signed. On Friday he met with the Steelers. Since the Patriots signed Patterson yesterday, there has been lots of talk that Slater is done playing for the Patriots. While there is always the possibility that theory is true, here is why I think it is not.

With Jason McCourty now available, I hope the Patriots finally get their hands on him. I was pushing for them to go after him last year before he even became available.
Yes folks, the end is near. Both Gronk and Brady are upset with the Patriots and have taken to commenting on friends' Instagram and Twitter accounts to voice their displeasure.
With NFL free agency underway, there appears to be a common theme. Pay any amount of money to keep players off the Patriots.
