- Dave Dombrowski was hired as the President of Baseball Operations
- Ben Cherington has elected to step down as General Manager
- Travis Shaw went 4 for 4
- Eduardo Rodriguez pitched 8 strong giving up 1 run on 8 hits
- Mike Gasior is tweeting that there will be an announcement regarding deflategate tomorrow. According to his source the agreement will be as follows: no games, no admission of guilt and a $50,000 fine.
- Last week's twitter hero Stephen Brown (@PPVSRB) will not be livetweeting the hearing tomorrow as phones will not be allowed in the courtroom or overflow room.
- Tom Brady is not going to be in court but will be in West Virginia to practice with his teammates and the New Orleans Saints.
- While this isn't breaking news, here are some of my pre-trial thoughts:
- Last week many people analyzed Judge Berman's thrashing of the NFL. My opinion is that he likely went into this knowing only the ESPN version of events. At that point he told both sides to get together to come to an agreement. Once he got the chance to start looking at the details (Wells' Report and Appeal), he realized what a big sham this whole thing is and let the NFL have it.
- Although I initially didn't want to blog about deflategate, it is now month 7 and I actually have an entire tab dedicated to the topic.
- With there being another potential leak, I can't help but wonder if my theory on delfategate really being leakgate could be true.
