THE ONLY PLAUSIBLE REASON FOR DEFLATEGATE

After a month of hearing, seeing, reading, arguing and researching about the air pressure of footballs, I've finally broken down and used the annoying term which would have no problem being inserted into a very popular INXS song from the 80's.  While this isn't my first post about the topic, it is the first time I'm sharing my theory on the matter.  If you would like to read my original post on the topic click here.  For my theory, continue on.
This week there has been at least two more stories about what happened during the AFC Championship game.  The first had to do with a ball which had not been marked as legal almost making its way into the game.  The second had to do with an NFL official from that game getting fired over illegally selling game used balls.  By the time I post this and it reaches your eyes there may be even more "reports" with "inside sources".
In my opinion, there appears to be an awful lot of these "inside sources" yapping to reporters.  While some have been named indirectly, others have remained anonymous.  Face it, the NFL has more leaks than all the roofs in New England.  Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but you get the picture.  Given that there is absolutely no proof (physical, electronic, etc.) that the footballs were tampered with and the fact that the catalyst for why the balls were tested at half-time changes on a daily basis, I can come up with only one logical explanation for the continuation of the investigation.

As the saying goes, "Loose lips, sink ships".  Roger Goodell and rest of the NFL need to find the loose lips of the organization.  What better way to figure out who a leak is, than to share small bits and pieces of a story and see which parts make it to the news.  This my friends is the only logical reason this "investigation" can still be going on.
