Yesterday, I looked at all the recent games the Patriots have played against the Jets. Other than the butt whooping they delivered last Christmas Eve, all of the games had the same issues.
RED ZONE- One issue was struggling in the red zone, especially after causing a turnover. If the Jets cough up the ball on their side of the field, we have to punch it in for 7.
3 & OUTS- Ryan Allen and Zoltan Mesko have been way too busy during Jets games. Besides having to punt frequently, the lackluster offense hasn't given the defense much of a rest with all their 3 & outs. Starting halves with multiple three and outs has really hurt the Patriots against the Jets. Always known for scoring touchdowns on their first possession of each half, the Patriots offense hasn't delivered against the green. Maybe they should refrain from running their "set plays"....perhaps the Jets know what's coming.

BAD TURNOVERS- The third issue that the Patriots always seem to have is a bad turnover. You know the ones that take away an easy field goal or put 6 points on the board for the Jets. Avoiding these is key. If we are in bad field position and throw it up for grabs deep on third....that's cool for everything but Brady's stats and fantasy owners.
STOP THE BIG PLAY- While it wasn't something that the Patriots have had trouble with against the Jets in recent years, the Patriots have got to stop the big scoring plays. Whether it's a deep pass, or long run, there has got to be weak side help. If you ask me, the greatest thing Butler brings to the defense is the fact that once his guy isn't going to get the ball, he goes towards the play and always has a great angle.
