- Since I was previously focusing on reasons for the delay, maybe it's so Roger can look at all the information that can be subpoenaed if this goes to court. While the Patriot haters of the world seem to think that it's going to be a big deal for Brady to have to finally give up his phone, they seem to be completely disregarding all of the communications that the NFL will need to share since Ted Wells was not being employed as a lawyer during all of this.
- I'm 100% in support of Brady and the NFLPA taking this to court. In addition to the fact that there is no proof of any shenanigans from the Brady camp, there is precedent of a court (Missouri Supreme Court) disallowing Goodell to serve as an independent arbitrator.
It's been six long months since this whole "deflategate" craziness started. Supposedly there will be a decision this week and barring a complete vindication of Tom Brady, a pending lawsuit. While you've probably heard lots of talking heads' thoughts about what Roger Goodell's decision will be and why he'll make, you might not be familiar with my theory. I have a theory that this entire investigation goes beyond the Patriots and Tom Brady. No, I'm not going to blame it on the men who were in charge of game ball preparation. I think this investigation may actually be a front to "find the leaks" within the NFL. With that being my theory on the subject, I am rather intrigued that we seem to be having a "drought" with information. Could this be because the leaks have been sealed? Is this longer than expected delay due to the NFL brass giving certain people tidbits of information and then waiting to see if they read about it online a few days later? Since my theory is just a theory, I'll take a few seconds to consider that my theory is wrong and this hoopla of PSI, leaks, and the Wells Report are all legit.
