With the 30 second sequel to deflategate upon us, here are some thoughts and links.
As ridiculous as the original Deflategate was, I seriously thought the only logical explanation for it was finding the loose lips within the NFL. Once the Patriots really lost their first round pick and Brady had to serve his suspension, then that theory was moot.
Now my alternate theory on what the big deal was is simply the desire of the NFL brass wanting to get their grubby paws on Tom Brady's phone. Were they hoping for some Gisele pictures to use as blackmail? Do they think he's too friendly with the Russians? I mean Putin did end up with a Patriots' Super Bowl ring. Brady did refuse to go to the White House and then later had a "make America great again" hat in his locker.
