The 2017 NFL Draft will commence on Thursday, April 27th.  Barring a trade, the Patriots will not make a selection until Friday night during round 3 with the 72nd overall pick.  The way they've been making moves which have cost them this season's picks, I really wouldn't be shocked if they weren't on the clock until sometime Saturday in round 4.

With the depth chart of the sexy positions being deeper than the Mariana Trench, I'm expecting the Patriots to add several offensive linemen to the roster.  Since they like players who can play multiple positions on the line and you can never have too many guys whom you trust to snap the ball, I'm expecting the future linemen to all have experience at center.
Pat Elfein- 6'3" 303 lbs, Ohio State
  • 3-time 1st team All-Big Ten
  • played center his senior year, has played both guard positions
  • expected to go in round 2 or 3
  • former wrestler, great work ethic, leader

Ethan Pocic- 6'6" 310 lbs. LSU
  • smart kid- went to college a semester early
  • has experience at center, guard, and tackle
  • expected to go in round 2 or 3

Jon Toth- 6'5" 307 lbs. Kentucky
  • smart- mechanical engineering major
  • 4 year starter
  • SEC All-Freshman, senior All-Conference
Andrew Eide- 6'5" 301 lbs. BYU
  • 33 reps on the bench
  • older than most guys in the draft- had a 2 year mission trip in Brazil before starting college career
  • played on defensive line at Southern Utah
  • graduated from Southern Utah and then enrolled in BYU for final season where he went to the offensive line
  • played in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl - starting left tackle
  • took snaps at BYU pro-day, also met with Patriots
Tyler Orlosky- 6'3" 298 lbs. West Virginia
  • team captain
  • 3 year starter
  • Strong hands

Johnny Capers- 6'4" 292 lbs. Stanford
  • good technique but not super athletic

Michael Coe- 6'1" 309 lbs. North Dakota
  • transferred after earning his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Division II Western New Mexico
  • 31 reps on bench to go with 32" vertical
  • played a lot of tackle at WNM

Barrett Gouger- 6'4" 308 lbs.  Vanderbilt
  • moved to center senior year
  • played right guard and has some special teams experience
  • can rock a mullet
