If you pay the least bit of attention to sports, you know that Tom Brady is suspended for the first four games of the NFL season. If you are a bit of a fanatic, you know that his suspension officially started at 4 pm eastern time on Saturday. As one of those fanatics, I'm concerned that this suspension is going to lead to another suspension.
While this is the most well-know and ludicrous 4-game suspension ever given to a player in the NFL, it is one of many suspensions which will be served this season. Although most NFL followers were pretty familiar with the rules of suspended players not being allowed at team activities or in the team's practice facility, the list of "can't dos" has seemed to expand exponentially for TB12.
Now it appears that suddenly a player can not be around or talk to any players or coaches during his suspension. Want to talk to your boy Julian Edelman about next years Kentucky Derby or an upcoming MMA fight, sorry Tom no can do. You'll have to wait a month to have that conversation. Does anyone really believe that talking to teammates or going out to dinner with them while a player was suspended has ever been enforced in the history of NFL suspensions?

What I'm worried about is another cockamamied accusation that will be investigated by Roger Goodell and his goons.

My goal here is not to give Mr. Goodell any ideas, my goal is for the wise quarterback to use some sort of burner phone during this entire suspension. Take your real phone and put it under lock and key for the next month. Maybe a well guarded safety deposit box or something. Use a new number that only your family has access to. You might ask that wife of yours to do the same because we now know how low the NFL goons will go.
