WHY THE PATRIOTS SHOULDN'T SIGN JAMES HARRISON

The five time pro bowler was released from the Steelers today. Many people are wanting the Patriots to claim him off waivers. I am not one of them.

Having played that long in Pittsburgh and already having two rings, I don't really trust him. Having not been a big part of the Steelers defense this season, getting him to play on the Patriots this late in the season could help out the Steelers. His availability could be a plant from the desperate Steelers.

Even if he was legitimately let go, I don't think he could learn the Patriots' defense fast enough to benefit the team. Even if he could learn it, he was targeted by Belichick last season for his inability to play zone. If you are going to play for the Patriots, you better be more than a one trick pony. Had he previously played for the Patriots or Rutgers, maybe I'd be interested.

For the most part, Harrison has played his entire career for the Steelers. While getting let go right before Christmas and watching his team get ready for the playoffs may motivate Harrison to play like a 29 year old, I want no part of that experiment.

He's a whiner. To this day he still cries about the Patriots cheating him out of a ring when his team was out-coached in the playoffs. Additionally after the Well's Report was released he was tweeting about Brady deserving a suspension. I guess he might have trouble reading or critically thinking.

Probably the worst of his transgressions are the comments he made in Men's Journal about wanting to meet Rodney Harrison and Tedy Bruschi in a dark alley.
