Think of of it as having a nice car in the garage that you rarely drive. You can afford it. There isn't some other vehicle you are dying to have. What if you sell it and then crash your everyday ride?
Face it, once Brady's suspension was over all you've heard about was the Patriots trading Jimmy G. So why is he still here?
Post Super Bowl the story was that the Patriots were going to get 2 first round picks for the backup. Later the story changed until wait until a quarterback goes down. Now there's lots of talk about whether or not they've missed their opportunity to strike it big.
The way I look at it is it, is why get rid of him now or in the near future? Our team is completely stacked. We are not in any financial trouble. Keeping him makes our team better while not allowing our competition to improve.
