As a Bears fan and Missouri State Alumnus, I would like to see the Bears beat the Shockers. However, since we will not be getting an at large bid to the tournament, I'd be happy to cash in a win against the Shockers during this year's Valley Tournament.
Tomorrow afternoon all eyes will be on The Valley (MVC) as the Missouri State Bears face off against Wichita State on the basketball court. The Shockers of Wichita State are hoping to finish the regular season undefeated with a record of 31-0. The Bears on the other hand would like to avenge their 72-69 overtime loss from January 11th. The Bears led most of the way and were up by 18 points at the start of the second. Unfortunately for the Bears and all those hoping to see the Shockers get their first loss on the season, the Bears will not be playing with Sophomore Guard Marcus Marshall. Marcus hasn't played since the last time these teams met and he tore his meniscus. Marcus has been missed by the team all season and will definitely be missed in tomorrow's game. Last time the teams played he scored 15 points. Marcus had a career high 25 points against the Shockers last season during The Valley tournament. He was also the MVC Rookie of the Year. As a Bears fan and Missouri State Alumnus, I would like to see the Bears beat the Shockers. However, since we will not be getting an at large bid to the tournament, I'd be happy to cash in a win against the Shockers during this year's Valley Tournament.
