Six games into the young NBA season the Celtics have one more win than the Cleveland Cavaliers. Yes, they have played one more game, but still they are 3-3 and have won two games in a row. Tonight's victory was pretty impressive considering they lost Marcus Smart for a few weeks last night with an ankle injury and Rajon Rondo was unavailable tonight since he was having a screw taken out of his wrist while the team was playing in Chicago.
While a 3-3 record is a good start, with a few lucky bounces or Celtic-friendly whistles the team could easily be 5-1. Of Boston's 3 losses, the loss at Houston was the only one that wasn't within grasp at the end. On Monday the Celtics lost 113-118 at Dallas. Down 113-116 with 8 seconds left Rajon Rondo got called for a questionable offensive foul allowing the Mavs to maintain the lead down the stretch. The fact that Dallas shot 56% from 3-point range also didn't help.
Wednesday night was more of the same with the Celtics losing their 3rd straight contest, this time by a measly 3 points. While Toronto didn't shoot 56% from deep, they did sink just under 44%. On the season the Celtics' opponents are hitting 39.8% of their three-point shots (3rd worst in the NBA).

Although we are only 6 games into the season, there are some interesting trends starting to develop with the Celtics.
