With the All-Star Game Final Vote about to close its polling doors and Xander Bogaerts currently in last place, I started wondering how the three options of voting could accurately be counted. Were the online ones the only ones that truly counted? How could they count the text message and tweet votes? I mean, if someone retweets my vote for Xander, does that count? Well, I decided to go to the final vote web page, when I read the fine print I wasn't too happy. It appears that twitter votes only count if they occur between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today (July 10th). So, for all of you people who may have tweeted #XFORASG prior to my blogging of this information, it didn't count. The good news is that unlike all of those balloting issues that occur when we try to elect a president, this one has been brought to your attention before the polls have closed for the day. So, if you voted early and voted often, get back on your twitter account and vote again. While you are there, add me @BOSsportschick.
