In my opinion, the Patriots' offensive woes came from lack of effort and that is why Brady was mad as his teammates.
To turn things around, the players who aren't the first two options on a play need to be running their routes as if they are the number one option. While other starting quarterbacks might not hit their 4th and 5th options on a play, Brady is ready to.

Defensively, I'm not sure if it's just a matter of effort. Hopefully, having time to get everyone on the same page is all that Matt Patricia needed.
