Complete Routes- The surefire way to lose Brady's trust is to not run your route properly. This is the one place where Cooks has to improve. Don't assume the ball is going to another player, don't assume he can't get you the ball. Run your route and be ready.
Play the Sideline- Don't assume a guy is going out of bounds. While you don't need to take a dumb penalty, giving a little contact to someone trying to make a sideline catch instead of assuming he's going to step out may be the difference in the game. Yes, I'm talking about Butler. It seems every game he gives up a first down on the sideline.
Let the Jag be the Jags- This season the Jaguars have been very guilty of giving themselves self inflicted wounds with stupid penalties.
- 23 false starts
- 17 offensive holding
- 7 defensive offsides
- 5 neutral zone infractions
- 5 unsportsmanlike
- 3 12 men on the field
- 2 offsides on free kicks
- Protect the Ball- Win the turnover battle and we will likely win the game. With this being said, Brady needs to be careful with assuming he's going to get a "free play" unless it's a 12 on the field.
