Well I was completely prepared to tell you about the matchup between Doubront and the Minnesota Twins in tonight's ball game. However his next start has been changed and Jake Peavy will be on the mound for the Red Sox tonight.
Peavy should be able to get the Red Sox a full 2 games over .500 tonight and possibly within a half game of first place in the east.
Ricky Nolasco will be on the mound for the Twins tonight. Although Ricky's ERA is 5.64, he's pitching much better than his ERA or 2-3 record show. One of his losses this season came when he went 9 innings against the Orioles. His shortest start of the season came on April 6th when he only went 4 innings.
Nolasco has been great at home this season and has a 2.12 ERA there. Lefties are seeing his pitches quite well and have an ERA of 7.97 and batting average of .337. In other words, don't be shocked if Ortiz pads his stats a little bit tonight.
