Since the Bruins had a day game at home yesterday, I had mentally chalked up a victory for the boys in black and gold. Of course we now know that Alex Ovechkin would score as many goals as the Bruins and the Capitals would end up winning 4-2.
Well, the good news is that the Bruins are still leading the Eastern Conference with 79 points while playing less games than all of their competitors.
Tonight the Bruins finish up their first of six back to backs for the month of March when they head to Madison Square Garden to play the Rangers. This will be the final time these teams meet in the regular season. So far the Bruins have had the Rangers' number and will sweep the season series with a win tonight. This season the Rangers are a better road team and are hovering around 500 when playing at home (15-14-3). Since it's the second game in two days for the Bruins, there is a good chance that Chad Johnson will be in net. Tonight's 7:00 game will not be aired on NESN, so make sure you tune in to the right channel (NBCSN, TSN2 or R2S2).
