In this year’s MLB draft the Red Sox took a right handed pitcher out of TCU with pick number 100. As I was preparing to write this the Red Sox moved him up to High A Salem.
In the next couple of weeks you may hear the name Durbin Feltman a lot. Here are some facts about Feltman that I find interesting.
FOOTBALL ALLEGIANCE - Having grown up in Texas, you’d imagine Durbin might be a Cowboys or Texans fan. Looking around on his Twitter account I found out that he’s a Patriots fan.

Besides being the obvious Tom Brady fan, Feltman also appreciates a quality Belichick answer when he hears one.
NEW TO PITCHING- This pitching thing is new to Feltman. He mostly played catcher growing up and didn’t pitch until his senior year. Once he got to college his velocity went through the roof as he was actually using his body to pitch instead of just throwing the ball.
LIKES BEING A RELIEVER- To have an upcoming pitcher who wants to be a reliever is a good thing. It seems that way too often pitchers don’t realize they are destined for relief duties and fight it.
