Yesterday I was in the process of blogging about how the Red Sox were going to stop the losing streak at nine. The more I typed, the less I believed that they were actually going to win. So, I stopped typing and logged off my computer.
Well, today I'm feeling it. The streak is going to end, the team will actually string some hits together and Buchholz will get his third victory of the season. Although I am predicting a win for Buchholz, I'm not predicting that he has that great of a game. At the end of the day, his ERA will drop down, but it will be a combination of the defense behind him and the Braves inability to do anything with runners in scoring position. While I don't think Buchholz is injured or has lost his ability to pitch, I really think he just lacks the confidence in pitching to Pierzynski.
Other predictions for the day are multiple RBIs for Pedroia and Ortiz. Multiple hits for Sizemore and Bradley Jr. and multiple runs for Holt and Bogaerts.
