Thirteen years ago the premier celebrity bowling tournament in New England was called the Mayo Bowl as it was hosted by The Patriots’ very own Jerod Mayo. While the event has gone through several name changes based on the host, it’s purpose and fundraising efforts have never been stronger. As of last year, the event has raised over 3.6 million dollars for the Boston Medical Center. This event is just one of many annual events the BMC hosts to help raise needed funds for the great work they do. While his name is not attached to the title, the host of this year’s event has been on two Super Bowl Championship teams. Just like he starts each offensive play with a snap of the ball, David Andrews is in charge of getting this years bowling event started. Dennis Duquette of Mass Mutual used the evening to announce a $3 million donation to Boston Medical Center for the purpose of helping to revolutionize medicine for children across the area. Injured Matt Judon had to rely on a unconventional bowling technique. The live auction brought in a lot of bidding and barking.
