THE BIG TARGET YOU FORGOT THE PATRIOTS HAD

Although the Patriots resigned Brady's go to receiver Julian Edelman and added Brandon "JoJo" Lafell to the roster on Saturday, many people are still wanting the Patriots to add another target for Brady.  Specifically they are looking for another big body to use when we get in close to the endzone.  What if I told you the Patriots may already have that guy on their roster.
Last season the Patriots had several rookie wide receivers who would become household names as the season progressed.  Unfortunately many of them would have the typical ups and downs of rookies trying to make it in the NFL.  They would all also suffer some bumps and bruises throughout the season.  With that, many people are cautiously optimistic about what guys like Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson will be able to bring to the team in 2014.  While both of these players have a terrific upside, they really aren't the body type the fans are clamoring for.  So who is the rookie that fits this description?
Mark Harrison out of, you guessed it, Rutgers, fits the body type.  Harrison spent all of last season on the PUP list with a foot injury.  After having one of the most impressive combines in 2013, Harrison would fall from many draft boards.  Harrison's reason for not getting drafted was likely a combination of the combine hotel room controversy and the fact that he injured his foot during Rutgers' Pro Day.  Prior to being picked up by the Patriots, Harrison was brought in by the Chicago Bears but did not pass his physical because of the foot injury.

While Harrison did not have the most impressive career numbers (76 reception, 1,264 yards and 13 touchdowns) at Rutgers, he did have one of the best receiving games in Rutgers history (10 receptions, 240 yards and 4 touchdowns).

Coming out of college, Harrison's strengths were his straight line speed, strength and vertical leap.  Because of his strength and size, defenders have trouble jamming him at the line of scrimmage and bringing him down once he has the ball.  Although Harrison was known for making impressive contested catches, he had trouble catching some routine balls. He also has trouble making cuts because of his "tight" hips.
