- 97 yard touchdown reception (Henne -> Cole) on the first play from scrimmage following a great punt by Ryan Allen.
- 79 yard touchdown run by Grant. This was the first defensive play for the Patriots in the second half.
- 42 yard touchdown reception (Allen ->Westbrook)
If you watched the game on Thursday night I'm sure you were shaking your head in sync with me and Matt Patricia several times.
While you may not be of the camp who is thinking Cyrus Jones is all but gone, you definitely know what I'm talking about. The Patriots are known for bending but not breaking. They may allow teams to move the ball down the field a time or two, and may (a little too frequently) allow 11 yards on 3rd and 10, but they do one heck of a job keeping their opponents out of the endzone.
Besides just keeping teams out of the endzone, the Patriots consistently avoid giving up the big scoring play. Thursday night Patricia's defense gave up three huge scoring plays. I'm sure this will be a point of emphasis especially amongst the new guys trying to make the team.
