- Rookie wide receiver Zach D'Orazio was the first player out on the field.
- Brian Tyms (WR) and James Morris (LB) were also out on the field ready to go before the rest of the squad.
- Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo both looked good throwing deep sideline passes to the right.
- Rookie wide receiver Chris Harper jumped offside during one on one drills and ran a lap.
- Super Bowl savior Malcolm Butler got beat several times during one on one drills.
- Second year player Jonathan Krause (WR) showed some good hands during drills.
- Four year veteran running back Dion Lewis turned heads multiple times during drills. Don't be surprised if Lewis ends up being one of those reclamation projects that wows everyone. Lewis played two seasons (2011 & 2012) with the Eagles before spending a season on Cleveland's IR (2013). The 2014 season was also a wash for him as he didn't latch on to a squad for the regular season.
- Cornerback Tarrell Brown was fielding punts along with Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman. The former 49er and Raider was the punt-pass-kick champion of Texas as a 9 year-old.
- While Edelman was waiting to field a punt, a fan yelled out that he needed a red jersey (quarterback jersey). After the fans gave a big cheer to the comment, Edelman just shook his head. This was then followed by a good laugh from the fans.
- During live punting practice Dekoda Watson came through the line and got a hand on one of them. Jonathan Freeny then picked it up and took it in for a TD.
- When throwing fades to the endzone, Garoppolo was having a better time connecting with receivers. Of course the receivers were all looking dead into the sun trying to catch Brady's passes.
- At one point between drills the music selection was Code of Silence by Bruce Springsteen. I thought it was an interesting selection.
- Travaris Cadet (RB) showed the ability to stop on a dime and switch directions.
- Edelman went down with an injury to his foot/ankle. It probably wasn't anything major, but they did keep him out of drills for the remainder of practice.
- Wide receiver Brandon Gibson appeared to be a favorite target of Garoppolo.
