Coming off a nice two-game winning streak down in Atlanta, I unfortunately do not have a good feeling about tonight's Red Sox game.
The reason I don't feel well about tonight's game has nothing to do with either team and how they are currently playing. What it really comes down to is the fact that the Red Sox have played rather poorly and have not won any games this season when there was all kinds of hoopla prior to the game. Maybe the fact that the pregame only has to do with Big Papi and the team from 2004 will cancel out any of that random bad luck we've been having.
Either way I don't think there'll be a whole lot of offense tonight. With the cold weather and the soft ground, it will probably just come down to small ball. So some ground ball that dies out in the infield may end up being the difference in the game.
As he pretty much has done all season, I expect John Lackey to have a great game. Hopefully the team will give him some run support early on for a change. Maybe Manny can do a little practice coaching batters before the game.
