First of all, let me apologize for my huge delay in sharing pictures and some stories from round 2.
Of all of the athletes who played in the tournament, Shawn Thornton really stood out as being the most cordial to everyone. Prior to teeing off on hole 16, Shawn asked several fans if they wanted to take a picture with him. In addition to taking pictures he also struck up conversations with several groups. On a personal level he offered to chase down a wayward piece of paper that came out of my pocket and went under the ropes. Shawn will be hosting his own tournament, Putts and Punches for Parkinsons, on August 20th
Former Patriot David Patten is a much better football player than golfer. As someone who was key in getting us that first championship, that’s more than okay by me. He told me that he and golf clubs don’t get along too well and that he hasn’t found anything that works on the golf course.
