PATRIOTS HAVE MORE THAN JUST COLORFUL NAMES AND BIG JOHNSONS

Chandler Jones wants you to read this.

One of the first posts I made from this blog had to do with the various names of Boston Sports personalities.  With this being the first week of Patriots training camp, I looked over the roster and made a lot of connections with names.  I hope you enjoy this.  If you have any good ones to add, please comment or hit me up on twitter @BOSsportschick.  Now on to those big Johnsons. 

According to their current depth chart the Patriots have two big Johnsons on their defensive unit:  Antonio Johnson (DT) - 6'3 328 and Rufus Johnson (LB) - 6'5 272.  While he might not tip the scales like they do, cornerback Derek Cox stands at 6'1" (was released 8/1).

 If Johnsons are of no interest to you, and you prefer talking about nature then Alan Branch (DT) and Trey Flowers are your boys.

Too macho to be into nature and prefer to go all military on me?  Travaris Cadet (RB) and Marcus Cannon (LG ) have you covered.  Today the Patriots added guard Harland Gunn to the artillery.  Now lets add LB L.J. Fort to the military group.

While the team does have a lot of colorful names, we don't have your box of Crayolas covered: Chris White (LB), James White (RB), Jonas Gray (RB), Malcom Brown (DT) and Justin Green (CB) (released 8/1).

Now on to the list of repeating names that you've been jonesing.

Brandons- (note- they are all spelled the same way) LaFell (WR), Gibson (WR) and Bolden (RB) King (DB)

Tre Jackson (RG) Trey Flowers (DL)

Malcom Brown (DT) and Malcolm Butler (CB)

How I overlooked Chandler Jones (DE) and Scott Chandler (TE), I have no idea.

Cameron Fleming OL and Darius Fleming LB.

We also now have two Camerons on the roster. Cameron Fleming OL and Cameron Gordon LB.
