For many years you could bank on a Patriots win if they were to win the turnover battle or have a player run for 100 yards or more. How are those trends going lately?
100 YARD RUSHER- Since 2000 the Patriots are 57-6 when they have a 100 yard rusher. While that looks like an almost automatic win, it's actually trending more towards 50% as of late. This season the team went 4-3 and last season they went 2-2. So, prior to Brady becoming a snowbird the team was a phenomenal 51-1 in games with a 100 yard rusher.
WIN THE TURNOVER BATTLE- Since 2000 the Patriots are 174-18 when winning the turnover battle. This season they are a perfect 8-0 in those games. Lose or tie the turnover battle what happens you ask? On the season they are 1-6 when losing the battle, since 2000 they are 42-53. When even they are 1-1 this season and 38-28 since 2000.
