Having coached the New York Jets for the previous five years, Rex Ryan is now the man in charge of Buffalo. Now leading Gang Green is another defensive specialist Todd Bowles. With the Jets being one of the top defensive teams in the NFL this season, I thought I'd do a quick comparison between both teams while also seeing how they both compared to last year's units.
When it comes to yards against per game, the Jets are currently leading all teams. Being that this is technically a Boston sports blog, I find it imperative that I point out that the Patriots are ranked 17th with 355.8 yards against per game. Knowing how they have given up some huge plays in garbage time, I'd have to say that they are realistically a top ten defensive team easily.
