Currently, Ricky is a graduate student playing lacrosse at Virginia. The midfielder has 2 goals in his first 2 games for the #1 ranked college lacrosse team. According to this article, he recently stated that he would like to play lacrosse next year as well. Of course that would require the NCAA to give him a waiver.
Prior to making his way to the University of Virginia, Ricky was playing linebacker at Stanford.

Early College- After playing the last four games of his freshman year and maintaining his redshirt season, Miezan suffered season ending injuries in both his sophomore and junior seasons. Both season ending injuries came early in the season. Sophomore year he got hurt after only two games. Junior year an injury took him out of his season opener and first start. As of this point, I can not tell you what his injuries were.
High School Football Career- Ricky didn't start playing football until his junior year of high school. If you watch his high school highlight film (below) you'll see that he can play multiple positions on both sides of the ball. He can tackle, he can block, he can run with the ball, he can punt. He can punt? Yes, he is credited with a a school record 65 yard punt. While his highlight tape shows him kicking with his right foot, who knows maybe he's capable of kicking lefty too.
Other Sports Played in High School- In addition to playing both lacrosse and football at an elite level, Ricky also played soccer and ran indoor track. Below are his season record splits I found at athletic.net.
