Friday night I had the opportunity to observe the annual women’s football clinic at Gillette Stadium. The event is put on by ProCamps and was sponsored by Market Basket and Proctor Gamble. When I tell you the participants got more for their dollar, it’s not just a cutesy pun.
Participants were of various ages and all looked like they were having a fabulous time. Their night started with food, beverages, and taking pictures with their Patriot coaches. This year’s Patriot coaches were wide receiver Chris Hogan and rookie running back Sony Michel.
Following the social hour, it was time to get on the field for team pictures and drills. While Hogan and Michel were the celebrity coaches, there were many other coaches who knew a thing or two about the game.
Participants rotated through a variety of stations. Each group got a chance to catch a pass from Hogan and take a handoff from Michel. Regardless of age or athletic ability, participants were all having a blast. Some came with large groups of friends while others were solo. One participant told me that her son surprised her with tickets. Everyone had a great time and got to leave with autographed pictures with the stars.
