LITTLE THINGS THAT LED TO THE PATRIOTS' BLOWOUT OF THE BEARS

While the final score showed a complete domination of the Bears, there were several things that went into that win.  I'm going to point out some that might not have been that obvious to the casual fan.

THE SAVED FUMBLE- Heading in for their second touchdown, Brady fumbled the ball on Chicago's 13 yard line.  Luckily for the Patriots they would maintain possession when James White made a heads up play falling on the loose ball.  Nate Solder also had a role in the recovery as he wisely pushed away a Bear who was ready to make the recovery himself.

PLAY ACTION
- Both the game plan and execution were terrific. If we could repeat that plan and effort every week instead of trying to outsmart our opponents or putting Brady in shotgun for 75% of the play we could probably put up more points and keep our defense off the field.

BROWNER- He looked pretty good yesterday. Hopefully all he needed was a little bit of time to get acclimated to the defense.

GOING FOR THE JUGULAR- Instead of just easing their way into halftime, the Patriots took an uncharacteristic timeout with1:26 left in the half.  With Julian Edelman making his best play of the day with a 42 yard punt return, the Patriots needed one play to put seven on the board.  Thirteen seconds later, Ninkovich added another seven with his fumble recovery touchdown.  While the punt return and fumble recovery were both huge, the timeout shouldn't go unnoticed.
