HOW CRAZY GOOD SHOULD THE PATRIOTS OFFENSE BE THIS SEASON?

Even with Edelman on ice for the 2017 season, the Patriots' offense should be pretty amazing. Barring any more injuries to key players or a completely incompetent offensive line, here's what teams are trying to stop.
SICK SPEED- First off, we have two incredible speed guys in Cooks and Dorsett. Both clocked 4.33 in the 40 and 6.7 in the 3-cone drill.
THE REPLACEMENT-While he isn't Jules, Amendola isn't a slouch. He knows the routes Edelman runs and he has Brady's confidence. He spent part of his offseason at Brady's ranch in Montana running routes. Last season he caught 79.3% of the passes intended for him and averaged 10.57 yards per reception.
INVISIBILITY CLOAK-They say he's "always open". While that may not be an accurate statement, he certainly gets wide open several times a game.
THE BACKS-As if being loaded with receivers wasn't a big enough advantage over the rest of the NFL, the Patriots have an abundance of multifaceted running backs. While they all can take a handoff and get a respectable gain, the short passes are really their bread and butter. Looking at last year's stats I was a bit shocked when I saw that every one of Develin's touches was a reception. Not that the guy touches the ball a lot, but all receptions? Wow.

WHAT SETS THEM APART- If that was the extent of our playmakers, it would still be a pretty potent offense. Now let's throw in what really sets them apart- Gronk, Brady, McDaniels, and familiarity.

With the new toy of the double deep threat, teams aren't going to be able to defend the deep ball, 5 yard dump pass and middle of the field. Most of the Patriot players have been with the team for mutiple years, playing for the same offensive coordinator, and with the same quarterback.
