The MLB has expanded replay starting next season. It will be similar to what is used in the NFL in that managers will be given a challenge at the start of the game. If they are correct on their challenge they will get a second one. They can not have more
than 2 challenges per game. Starting at the top of the 7th inning the crew chief has the power to initiate a challenge. All challenges will be reviewed by an umpire crew at the Replay Command Center in New York. The crew doing the review will be an actual umpire crew doing their rotation in the center instead of on the field. In order to do this, the MLB will be adding two additional crews.
Besides adding this aspect of replay to baseball, they will also be allowing teams to show replays of controversial calls on the big screen.
Wednesday Rajon Rondo got to put on his uniform and sit on the bench while his team stopped their losing streak from hitting double digits. Tonight he gets to suit up and be on the floor during tipoff against the Kobe-less-Lakers. A year ago who would have thought that the Lakers and Celtics would have a combined 28 wins at this point in the season?
While the Bruins are the team we are waiting to see make a roster move to make up for the loss of defenseman Dennis Seidenberg, the Celtics are the Boston team who has been pulling the trigger. The Celtics made a move to bolster their future drafts this week when they traded Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks to the Golden State Warriors in a 3 team deal. Former Patriots' CB Marquice Cole was picked up by the Denver Broncos
