In case you didn't see the game, the Bruins started off with a lot of energy and were swarming the Stars' net. It appeared we scored at 3:31 on a delayed penalty. Unfortunately, the guys in the replay booth didn't see it that way and said Gregory Campbell intentionally kicked the puck into the net so no goal. For me, that was one of those "oh boy, here we go" moments. Of course the drought continued through the ensuing power play.
Although the Bruins were doing a great job on the penalty kill through the first 2 periods, it looked like we were going to head into intermission with the score knotted 0-0. David Krejci would have none of that and scored his 10th goal of the seasons at the 19:56 mark.
The third period would be chalk full of penalties and goals with 5 of each. The Stars tied it up briefly with a power play goal by Erik Cole which was assisted by former Bruin Tyler Seguin. Seguin would have assists on both of Dallas' goals. The game would be 1-1 for exactly 2 minutes before Brad Marchand put the Bruins on top to stay. Milan Lucic would be the first Bruin to score on a power play in 2014, ending the 6 game drought. On the night the Bruins were 1/4 on power plays and killed 5 of 6.
A few other thoughts from the game:
We've got to get some shots off on our 2 on 1 breaks
Chara needs to keep his stick out of his teammates faces
Lots of loud Bruins' fans in Dallas- nice
