DOES GRONK NEED BRADY TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

We've all heard for years the arguments that Brady made Belichick and Belichick made Brady.  How about Brady made Gronk?  Gronk admits that he doesn't want to play with anyone else.  He's also made some chess moves making sure he hasn't had to play with someone else.
Yes, I know that neither Brady or Gronk are on the Patriots anymore, but since they will continue to be teammates I had to look at how Gronk has done in the NFL without Brady.  While there isn't much of a sample size, that's what made me decide to type something up about what I found.
REGULAR SEASON- Gronk has only played in two regular season games without Brady. His quarterback during both of those games was Jacoby Brissett.  In game 3 of 2016 Gronk was in for 14 snaps (23%).  He was targeted once and didn't come down with the ball.  In game 3 of 2016 Gronk played 39 snaps (70%).  During that game he was targeted twice and had one reception for 11 yards.  He wasn't targeted until late in the 3rd quarter.  Brissett threw the ball 27 times that game.
PRESEASON- In his career so far, Gronk has only played in parts of 12 preseason games.  The starting quarterback for all 12 of those games was none other than number 12, Tom Brady.  Looking through all of the play by plays for each of those preseason games, it appears that there was only one game where Gronk continued to play after Brady had given way to a backup.  That game was on August 19th 2010, the second preseason game of Gronk's rookie year.
The first backup Gronk played with was Brian Hoyer.  Gronk caught 2 passes from Hoyer, an 8 yard reception and a 24 yard touchdown.  After Hoyer got his chance to play, Belichick brought in rookie Zac Robinson to finish out the game.  Robinson went 2 for 2 and had a 5 yard completion to Gronk.

NFL TOTALS WITHOUT BRADY- 4 receptions on 6 targets for 41 yards and 1 touchdown.
