April 15th is a busy day in the United States. While there used to be two major events to remember on this date, there are now three. The new event is unfortunately a remembrance of the sad events which occurred at last year's Boston Marathon. The other yearly event which does not make most people warm and fuzzy is the fact that income taxes are due today. Yeah, I'm not a fan of that either. The one event of the day which may bring a smile to your face is that today is Jackie Robinson Day. As usual, MLB will be celebrating this anniversary by paying tribute to Jackie Robinson in every major league ball park. In addition to the special pre-game ceremonies and in stadium give-aways, there will also be some special bases, lineup cards and jerseys being worn. Tonight is the night when all MLB players and on-field personnel trade in their jersey number for number 42. Although the Red Sox do not have the lineup they intended at the beginning of the season, they should be able to muster up some offense as they are going against Erik Johnson and his 9.59 ERA. Of course this will be the first time for Red Sox batters to face Johnson, so you never know how that will go. On the mound for the Red Sox will be last year's summer acquisition, Jake Peavy. Peavy has had a pretty good start to his season going at least six innings in both starts and giving up 2 runs or less. The White Sox have combined for 9 at bats against Peavy and have accumulate 2 runs and 1 rbi. Red Sox Lineup for 4/15 1. Sizemore LF 2. Bogaerts SS 3. Ortiz DH 4. Napoli 1B 5. Nava RF 6.
