CAN PATRIOTS BOUNCE BACK VS JETS ON A SHORT WEEK WITHOUT DAVID ANDREWS?

You can be certain that you have a problem with stopping mobile quarterbacks when your opponent elevates someone off their practice squad for either a special set of plays or just to mess with your head.  I guess we won't fully know what the Jets are thinking until game time.  Even if they don't dress Chris Streveler, the fact that they are contemplating it says a lot.
TURNOVERS- The Patriots are turning into a regular turnover machine.  Sure they've had a few bad luck turnovers, but they've also had several more "should have been" turnovers that they got lucky with.  These lucky plays have occurred both on offense and special teams.  With their 15 turnovers, the Patriots are 31st in the NFL.  Yes, there are still 32 teams, so 31st is really bad comparatively.  The Jets are in the middle of the pack this season with only 9 turnovers.  They've gone 3 straight games without having one.  Curious if the Patriots went 3 possessions without a turnover last week?  Here are their results in order: punt, punt, interception, touchdown, touchdown, fumble, punt, punt, interception, interception.  So, no the Patriots did not go 3 possessions without turning over the ball last week.
WHO SHOULD THE DEFENSE KEY IN ON- The Patriots defense struggled last week.  In order to have a get right game, they'll need to slow down Breece Hall and Michael Carter.  Both running backs are heavily involved in the passing game.  While Hall has more targets, Carter is catching everything thrown his direction.  Since the Jets will be without leading receiver Corey Davis, being able to stop the Jets defense is a bit easier.

SPECIAL TEAMS- Good old Braxton Berrios is still with the Jets and returning both punts and kickoffs.  It would be wise for Jake Bailey to keep the ball away from him.  After getting paid this summer, Jake has been awful.  Like, is he even the guy wearing number 7 for the Patriots this season or is he using his new found wealth to pay a lookalike to take the field on Sundays for him?  I don't know, maybe it's the special teams coach directing him to consistently kick an easily returnable ball.  Regardless, Berrios averaged 24.3 yards in his 7 kick returns against the Patriots last year.   Seven kickoff returns is wild.  In their two games last year, the Patriots scored 79 total points.  That's going to result in a lot of kickoffs.

PATRIOTS' OFFENSE- Not having David Andrews today is a huge loss for the offensive line.  Fortunately, the Patriots have been able to plan for his absence during practice.  With a team that is already leading the league in pre-snap penalties, going without Mr. Reliable is sure to be felt on the field.  While Matt Judon has been having an unbelievable season for the Patriots, the Jets are getting some great pressure from both Carl Lawson and Quinnen Williams.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Mac Jones take a few hits and then really leave the game due to injury.  Rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner is living up to the hype.  The 4th overall pick is leading the league with 10 forced incompletions.

In my opinion, the Patriots need to keep things simple once they get to the line of scrimmage.  I feel that part of the reason Mac isn't getting much help from the offensive line is due to the fact that he's trying to get too creative once the ball is under center.  That could be the reason for so many pre-snap penalties and the ole blocking that he's experienced at times.
RED ZONE-  Although they don't have much of an offense, the Jets take care of business once they get into the red zone.  On the season they have scored a touchdown on 60% of their red zone trips.  The Patriots have scored on 47.62% of theirs.  The Patriots' defense does hold the upper hand with red zone defense, 54.4% to 63.2%.
