Entering the second period the Bruins were down 1-0. Less than two minutes later they had spotted another California team a 3 goal lead and goalie Tuukka Rask was being replaced by Chad Johnson.
Prior to going down by two, Dougie Hamilton got a bizarre interference penalty. Upon leaving the box after serving his 2 minute minor for tripping, Dougie played the puck before his skates left the box. This is a no-no and gave the Kings their third power play of the evening.
After spotting the Kings their 3 goal lead the Bruins would start to get their offense going with a goal at the 9:55 mark. They would continue to have scoring opportunities but New England native Jonathan Quick had all the answers in net for Los Angeles. Justin Florek would get the only other goal for the Bruins in their 4-2 loss. It was his first career goal.
