After actually winning a shootout and putting themselves in position to grab a wild card spot, the Bruins have pretty much thrown up the white flag by going 0-2 and getting out-scored 7-2 the last two nights. A few weeks ago I took a look at the Celtics record and put it into the NHL point system. Tonight I'll quickly point out that the Bruins are one game over .500 (41-40). In other words, they are who we thought they were, mediocre.
In my eyes, it looks like most of the players and coaches are completely satisfied with mediocrity. And why wouldn't they be when mediocrity gets you a big fat check.
