Bruins shooting statistics for 2014 season.
The Bruins are currently averaging 2.69 goals per game which puts them pretty much smack dab in the middle of all NHL teams this season. They have come a long way from their first 4 games of the season when they only collected 4 goals.
While my eyes tell me that the Bruins are taking better shots, I made a quick comparison between their first four games to their last four. Earlier this season I posited my opinion that wrist shots lead to more goals, therefore these statistics do support my opinion of better shots being taken.

54% of shots were either slap or snap shots
21% were slap shots
4% of shots were goals
LAST 4-
37% were slap or snap
16% were slap shots
11% of shots were goals
