Tuukka Rask supports the Boston Fire Department prior to getting his 7th shutout of the season.
After having their winning streak snapped by the Canadiens on Monday, the Bruins bounced back nicely by shutting out the visiting Chicago Blackhawks by a score of 3-0.
Tuukka Rask was in net for his league leading 7th shutout of the season. Rask turned away 28 shots during the game and brought his GAA to 2.01.
Patrice Bergeron scored the first and last goals of the game. His first came at the halfway point of the first period when he redirected a Mark Bartkowski shot. His next goal came 5 minutes into the 3rd period and would need to be reviewed as the net was dislodged by Blackhawks' goalie Corey Crawford. Patrice has now scored a point in his last six games. Brad Marchand would get his 22nd assist of the season on Bergeron's second goal by sending a centering pass from behind the net.
Carl Soderberg would be the other goal scorer or the night. His 14th goal came a mere 13 seconds before Bergy's second.
In addition to being honored during the pre-game, the Boston Fire Department was given the honor of being #1 star of the game.
