Sony Michel regularly gets a big run called back due to holding penalties.
After watching the Patriots suffer loss number five, there were lots of stats I just had to look into a little further. Here are some useful finds.
PENALTIES-

  • The Patriots have both benefitted and been called for 84 penalties this season
  • Trent Brown has been called for 8 penalties of which 4 have been accepted. 6 of his penalties have been for holding. In his previous two seasons in San Francisco he had as many face mask penalties as holding (2).
  • Sony Michel has had two 25 yard runs negated by holding penalties. In total he’s been denied 97 rushing yards because of penalties. His average during these wipedout plays? 7.5 yards
