Looking at his run support this season you will see that the team has only scored 4 or more runs for him twice this season. On average he is getting 2.23 runs in support while he is in the game. In games he has started, the total run support goes up to 3.5. Now if you take out the 7 runs of support he got in one of his starts this season, his level of support drops to 1.8. Take out the game where they scored 5 runs for him and now it's at 1.5.
In my opinion, you might as well give up 4 runs if your team is going to put up a big goose egg for you anyhow.
